Servicios Latinos Multicultural Social Service distributed $5,500 in ShopRite gift cards to immigrant families registered with the agency.

These efforts concentrated on Burlington’s immigrant families who did not receive any stimulus checks and who are in need of basic necessities.

The agency also distributed CENSUS 2020 information, COVID-19 prevention material, and domestic violence information, just to name a few of the programs.

Director, Angela Mateo Gonzalez, stated that these gift cards donations were made possible through the fundraising efforts and donations made by members of

  • Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, organized by their President, Melinda Colon Cox, Esq.

  • Hispanic National Bar Association through its Region 3 President, Julia A. López, Esq. who brainstormed the fundraiser and negotiated with neighboring

  • ShopRite, who also participated in the fundraiser by donating additional gift cards.

We also would like to thank Albertina Webb (Abbie) for contacting our office after being referred by Senator Singleton’s office.

Thank you to everyone that made this effort possible!
