English & Citizenship Classes
Our English as a Second Language (ESL) and US Civics (“Citizenship”) classes’ objective is to assist interested individuals to be well prepared for the U.S. naturalization test as well as equip them to be informed and productive citizens of their community. The classes are comprised of basic grammar, and promote speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Resources to learn English
USA Learns, a free website for adults to learn English. Here you can practice English speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar, vocabulary and more.

Free online site with basic, intermediate and advanced levels, practice grammar, listen to audios, chat with people in English, track your progress.

Visit your local library. Burlington County Library System has many on site resources in its libraries distributed in the county (fiction books for English learners and ESL courses) as well as access to free online services providing, among other, courses in English as a Second Language explained in twenty different languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.). Go to www.bcls.lib.nj.us, click on “online resources A-Z” and scroll down and click on “Basic ESL”.
You need to have or apply for a library card to access these services.
Also, they provide free ESL classes (and on many other topics), go to your library for more information on hours and dates.

You can also download free smartphone applications on the App Store (i-phone) or Google Play (android). Through them you can practice any time at your own pace.

Servicios Latinos de Burlington County and its satellite office, SELBUC Multicultural Resource Center, offers affordable immigration services, such as consultation for eligibility, preparation of citizenship application, translation of supporting documents, etc.

The civics practice test is a study tool to help you test your knowledge of U.S. history and government. The actual test is in English. Use this online tool to prepare for the civics portion of the naturalization test.
This practice test contains 20 questions. Every time you try the practice test a new set of questions (from the 100 official questions) will be asked.

The USCIS Naturalization Interview and Test video provide an overview of the naturalization process and testing requirements, as well as simulated situations of the interview. (Duration: 16 minutes)
